RNA – According to the media centre at al-Mustafa International University, an Argentinean graduate of the al-Mustafa International University participated in a ceremony of prayer for peace and the guidance of society and government in Chile as representative of the country's Muslim community on Fiestas Patrias, the national day of Chile, held on September 18.

 

This was held in the presence of the representatives of different religions communities in the South American nation at the Cathedral of Santiago in the presence of President  Michelle Bachelet, the president of the Senate, the president of the House of Representatives, the president of the Supreme Court, civilian and military authorities, diplomatic representatives of other states and other important Chilean personalities.

 

At this event Hujjat al-Islam Shaykh Faisal Merhal, an Argentinean Shi’ite cleric and alumnus al-Mustafa International University prayed on behalf of the Muslims community for national peace and guiding the Chilean authorities.
